About Me

Hi! Thanks for visiting my page. I’m Wendy Griffith, a television news journalist with more than thirty years in the business, most of it at CBN, the Christian Broadcasting Network.  I came to CBN in 1999 after working ten years in local news, including two stints as an anchor and reporter at WCHS-TV in Charleston, West Virginia, my home state.  I briefly served in politics as the Press Secretary to the late Gov. Cecil H. Underwood and then felt the call to CBN in 1999.

Despite my successful and fulfilling career, my love life was pretty much non-existent.  Then, finally, in my late forties, I met a man who I thought could be the one!  During our whirlwind romance he told me, “I love you, but I don’t know if you’re the one.”  I kept dating him thinking I could make him fall in love with me, and then, after a year of dating, he broke up with me and broke my heart.  I was devastated.  I thought it was my last chance for love.  I thought there must be something seriously wrong with me because this one person didn’t want me. But then, God began to show me that I loved this guy, but I didn’t love myself.

God took me on a journey of showing me my worth and why I was a “pearl of great price” and someone worth an “I love you, period.”  God then told me to “write about my test” and my book, “You Are a Prize to Be Won! Don’t Settle for Less Than God’s Best” was born.  I’ve heard from thousands of women that this book has changed their lives, the way they date and the way they view themselves. One reader who was in an abusive relationship even said, “your book saved my life.”

“You Are a Prize to Be Won” will remind you of God’s extravagant love for you and why God wants to give you His best and the desires of your heart when it comes to marriage. You don’t have to settle for crumbs like I once did! You are worth the price of dinner and dessert and a whole lot more!

And, because you asked for it, my new book, “You Didn’t Miss It! God’s Best is Worth the Wait” is finally here! It’s the happy ending to my first book and the story of how God finally brought me “His best!”

I can’t wait for you to read “You Didn’t Miss It!” because those were the very words God spoke to my heart when I was going through my greatest heartbreak.

I was 52 when I was introduced to my future husband and 54 when I walked down the aisle for the very first time.  And I’m here to tell you, it was worth the wait.

If you’ve stumbled across this page, I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I believe God wants you to know, what I now know, You Didn’t Miss It!

Love, Wendy
